Lm. Giuse Cao Gia An, SJ đã bảo vệ thành công luận án tiến sĩ, trở thành người Việt Nam đầu tiên có văn bằng chú giải Kinh Thánh tại trường Biblicum. Cha Cao Gia An sinh trưởng trong một gia đình nghèo, ông cố là nhà văn Công Giáo đã từng được giải thưởng. Hồi nhỏ, cậu An thường ra cột đèn đường để học bài. Mỗi khi về thăm gia đình, thầy Gia An phải xin lại địa chỉ nhà vì đôi khi gia đình phải đi ở chỗ khác để giảm tiền thuê. Mẹ thầy có gánh bán hàng rong để kiếm sống. Trong hoàn cảnh đó, thầy phát triển về văn chương, âm nhạc, tình thương, đặc biệt người cao niên và người nghèo. Thầy có khiếu ngôn ngữ và say mê Kinh Thánh. Sau khi bảo vệ luận án Tiến sĩ, cha được mời dạy tại trường Biblicum từ Giáng sinh 2022, cha cũng dạy học tại Phi châu và Việt Nam.

Deacon Ly Nguyen (aka “thay Ly”) is a permanent deacon serving Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and a member of the Archdiocesan’ s Diaconate Discernment & Formation Team. He has spent 25+ years working with youth, young adults, and marriage preparation ministries. As a result, he describes his style as lively, engaging and practical – so not to only give head knowledge, but to inspire the heart for God. God has blessed him with a wonderful wife, and three teenage children. Yikes.

Hello everyone! I'm Maria. I graduated from the University of Memphis in May 2024 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and am excited to begin the graduate program in School Psychology in the Fall of 2025. When I’m not immersed in my studies, I love exploring my creative side—painting, playing instruments, editing videos, photography, journaling, scrapbooking, and even rock climbing. Above all, I strive to bring Jesus’ love into every moment. Though I have much to learn, my curiosity about the beauty of our Catholic faith and the depth of human nature will never fade. :)

Sr. Maria-Goretti Thuy is currently serving in Office of Evangelization and Catechesis (OEC) - Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston - as an Associate Director. She has a BA in music at the University of St. Thomas (UST), Texas and an MA in Catechesis and Evangelization at Franciscan University of Steubenville (FUS), Ohio. She is passionate about passing on the Faith through the simple ways.

Mr. Phaolô Phạm Xuân Khôi (Paul Pham) is a member of the Vietnamese Catechetical Committee in the USA. He is also a special consultant for the National Eucharistic Revival Executive Team of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). He has been a facilitator for the Catechist Formation Program of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston for more than 20 years. Additionally, he has taught in the Formation Toward Christian Ministry (FTCM) program for the Archdiocese for more than 10 years.

Giáo sư Lê Xuân Hy dạy tâm lý và là giám đốc chương trình Công Giáo Học tại Đại Học Seattle. Anh là thành viên của Uỷ Ban Giáo Lý Toàn Quốc trên 30 năm qua.

Professor Lê Xuân Hy teaches psychology and directs the Catholic Studies program at Seattle University. He has served on the National Catechetical Committee for over 30 years.

Ms. Thanh-Thương has been a member of the Vietnamese Catechetical Committee in the USA since 2010. She is passionate about walking with others on their faith journeys, especially young people and helping them deepen their relationship with Jesus. She has been involved in faith formation work for many years and currently teaches Confirmation. Ms. Thanh-Thưong serves as the Pastoral Assistant for Administration and Business Manager at a Catholic parish and school.

Giáo sư Quyên Di, trước năm 1975 là chủ biên hai tạp chí Tuổi Hoa và Ngàn Thông; một thời gian làm tổng thư ký hai tập san Tri Thức và Thụ Nhân và là phụ tá Giám đốc Ban Tu Thư của Viện Đại Học Đà Lạt; dạy học tại nhiều trường trung học tại Sài Gòn và các vùng phụ cận, hiệu trưởng cuối cùng của trường Trung học Công Giáo Nguyễn Bá Tòng, Sài Gòn.

Tại hải ngoại, Giáo sư Quyên Di từng là chủ nhiệm tập san Thời Điểm Công Giáo và nguyệt san Tuổi Hoa hải ngoại. Ông là thành viên trên 30 năm của Uỷ Ban Giáo Lý Việt Nam Toàn Quốc Tại Hoa Kỳ; đã và đang là thuyết trình viên thường xuyên của Hội Nghị Giáo Dục Tôn Giáo thuộc Tổng Giáo Phận Los Angeles. Hơn 40 năm qua, Giáo sư Quyên Di hướng dẫn các khoá huấn luyện và tu nghiệp Sư Phạm Việt Ngữ dành cho các giáo viên dạy Việt Ngữ. Giáo sư Quyên Di dạy ngôn ngữ, văn chương và văn hoá Việt Nam tại hai đại học UCLA và CSULB, dạy ngành sư phạm song ngữ tại đại học CSUF, đồng thời là giám sát viên đại học chuyên hướng dẫn các giáo sinh thực tập để nhận bằng dạy học ngành song ngữ tại tiểu bang California. Ông có tên trong danh sách các chuyên gia của đại học UCLA.

Giáo sư Quyên Di có trên hai mươi tác phẩm đã được xuất bản, thuộc các thể loại giáo khoa, giáo dục, truyện ngắn, truyện dài, suy tư cảm nghiệm.

Professor Quyên Di

Professor Quyên Di, before 1975, was the editor-in-chief of two magazines, Tuổi Hoa and Ngàn Thông; for a time he was the general secretary of two magazines, Tri Thức and Thụ Nhân, and assistant to the Director of the Department of Studying Documents of Dalat University; taught at many high schools in Saigon and surrounding areas, and was the last principal of Nguyen Ba Tong Catholic High School, Saigon.

Overseas, Professor Quyên Di was the editor-in-chief of the magazine Thời Điểm Công Giáo and the overseas monthly Tuổi Hoa. He has been a member of the National Vietnamese Catechetical Commission in the United States for over 30 years; and has been a regular presenter at the Conference on Religious Education of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. For over 40 years, Professor Quyên Di has been instructing Vietnamese Pedagogy training and internship courses for Vietnamese language teachers. Professor Quyên Di teaches Vietnamese language, literature and culture at UCLA and CSULB, teaches bilingual education at CSUF, and is a university supervisor who specializes in guiding student teachers to receive a bilingual teaching credential in the state of California. He is listed on the list of experts at UCLA. Professor Quyên Di has over twenty published works, in the genres of textbooks, education, short stories, novels, and reflections.

Chị Nguyễn Thu-Phong là thành viên của Ủy Ban Giáo Lý và là thành viên của Cộng Đoàn Đồng Hành Christian Life Community. Chị bắt đầu được phục vụ Giáo Xứ Maria Nữ Vương VN trong vai trò Giáo Lý Viên từ năm 1985 và hiện đang là 1 giáo lý viên tại Giáo Xứ Thánh Giuse, New Orleans. Chị đang giúp trong Ban Huấn Luyện của Đồng Hành Vùng Trung Tây và làm điều hợp viên cho các Hành Trình của chương trình Linh Thao trong Cuộc Sống của Cộng Đoàn Đồng Hành. Chị tổ chức, điều hợp các khóa tĩnh tâm Linh Thao cho người lớn và giới trẻ, các khóa tĩnh tâm Ephata Thêm Sức hay tĩnh tâm S.E.E.D.

Mrs. Thu-Phong Nguyễn is a member of the Vietnamese National Catechetical Committee and the National Christian Life Community. She began to serve the local church in the Archdiocese of New Orleans as a catechist since 1985 and is currently joining the catechetical team at the St. Joseph parish in New Orleans. She is a member of the regional Đồng Hành Midwest formation team and a faciliator for the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises for the Daily Life sponsored by Đồng Hành Christian Life Community. She also coordinates/organizes Ignatian retreats for adults and Youth/Young Adults, Ephata retreats for Confirmation Classes and S.E.E.D. family retreats.

Mr. Nhat Nguyen has faithfully served the Catholic Church as a catechist since 1983, beginning his ministry at Mary Queen of Vietnam Parish in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. In 2005, he moved to Houston and became an active parishioner at Our Lady of La Vang Parish.

Since 2015, Mr. Nguyen has served as OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) Catechist and Coordinator, guiding adults on their journey into the Catholic faith. In 2017, he also began leading the Adult Confirmation program, helping baptized Catholics prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

He is also the longtime Coordinator of the Ephata Retreat for Confirmation candidates within the Vietnamese parishes, a call he has embraced since 1994. His dedication to catechesis extends beyond the local level, as he has been a committed member of the Vietnamese Catechetical Committee in the USA since 2001, contributing to the growth of faith formation in the Vietnamese Catholic community.
